SMT OPERATOR

Employee will be responsible for SMT operation and related functions. Employee will be responsible to efficiently operate the equipment associated with the Surface Mount line. Employee will be required to produce quality product at all times.

Experience: A Newonics SMT Operator will have 0-6 months direct SMT experience. Employee must have excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate the ability to read prints and follow detailed instructions. They must be comfortable with machine operation, have some basic knowledge of component types and values, understand polarity, and must pay close attention to detail.

Other Requirements: They must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. The ability to stand for an extended period of time is required.

SOLDER TECHNICIANS:

Newonics is seeking experienced, highly skilled Solder Technicians.

Experience: These positions require high school education or equivalent.

Other Requirements: Must pass complex solder test of surface mount and plated through-hole boards which includes jumper wires and “piggyback” assembly. Positions may also be responsible for performing a wide variety of electronic or electro-mechanical assembly operations on assemblies and/or sub-assemblies including plated through-hole soldering with a microscope, hand forming and inserting electronic components into circuit boards, and masking.

STORES:

Employee will be responsible for efficiently and accurately inventorying, auditing, and preparing kits for production and related functions.

Experience: A Newonics Stores employee will have 0-6 months experience. Employee must have excellent communication skills, be able to demonstrate the ability to read inventory lists, count accurately, and follow detailed instructions. They must have some basic knowledge of component types and values, understand polarity, and must pay close attention to detail.

Cycle Counting and Inventory: Responsible for performing daily cycle counts as defined by the Newonics Cycle Count Procedure. Firm understanding of MRP and inventory control methods. Able to effectively communicate problems to Supervisor.

Audit: Verify material sent by the customer and stage kits for production. Must have knowledge of component values.

Parts Prep: Prepare all parts for production that require specific preparation prior to be being installed on the PCB's. Must have knowledge of thru-hole component values and extremely detailed.
